Management Team
Neil Judge – Chief Executive Officer
Neil is an E&P executive with more than 40 years of experience in a variety of international E&P assignments during 20 years with Philips Petroleum, 23 years with Hunt Oil Company and 5 years with Inventa. During this time he has been instrumental in the execution and success of variety of world class E&P projects. His core strength is the inception, planning, management and execution of complex E&P projects involving multi-national, multi-company teams; working together with government and local stakeholders to develop a win-win outcome. He has successfully led E&P teams and projects in the US, Europe, Middle East, Africa and South America.
Neil has a B.Sc in Physics and a Masters in Geophysics from Imperial College, London.
Herbert Goñas – Business Development Manager
Herbert is an executive with 30+ years global experience in the oil and gas industry including 23 years in executive positions with Schlumberger and Exen Technology Corp. Herbert also worked as General Manager for Petroperu. During his career he held several Operational Manager, Sales & Marketing, and Business Development functions in Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Ecuador and the United States.
Herbert holds a Petroleum Engineer Degree from the National University of Engineering in Peru and a Global MBA from The London School of Business & Finance majoring in Oil, Gas and Energy Management.
Abel Andrade – Operations Manager
Abel has more than 35 years of experience in the E&P industry mainly working for Occidental Petroleum in Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Qatar, Oman and USA. He has wide experience in Well Completions and Production Operations, with emphasis in production optimization of conventional and unconventional reservoirs, onshore and offshore fields, waterfloods and steam floods.
Abel holds a B.Sc in Petroleum Engineering from National University of Engineering. US and Peruvian citizen.
Dario Gamez – General Manager, Project Leader Peru
Dario has over 25 years of experience as a reservoir engineer, in Argentina, Peru, Qatar and the USA during technical and managerial assignments with Pluspetrol, Qatar Petroleum and Hunt Oil Company. He was part of the initial Camisea development team and has experience in world-class projects including Camisea and North field, Qatar. Dario holds a B.Sc in Petroleum Engineering from National University of Engineering and an MBA from SMU in Dallas, US.
Technical Team
Dr. Willy Gil – Sr Structural Geologist
Willy has over 20 years of experience in the oil & gas industry working for Repsol in Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad & Tobago, US, Indonesia, Greece and Albania.
Willy is highly skilled in leveraging multiple geoscience disciplines to identify and define prospective, undiscovered hydrocarbon resources, across both mature and frontier exploration areas and has expertise in the entire E&P lifecycle. He is an expert in Structural Modeling and 2D and 3D seismic interpretation at reservoir, prospect, and basin scales.
Willy holds a PhD degree at Paul Sabatier University, Toulouse III. France, a MSc degree in Geology at Joseph Fourier University, Grenoble, France, and holds a BSc in geology from San Antonio Abad University, Cusco. Peru.
Aníbal Lajo – Senior Geologist
Anibal has more than 15 years of experience in the O&G industry with a strong track record in stratigraphy, structural geology, basin analysis and seismic interpretation in development and exploration projects. He worked for Savia Perú, Petro-Tech and Petrobras.
Anibal was awarded a PhD in Basin Studies and Petroleum Geoscience from The University of Manchester (UK), a MSc in Petroleum Systems from the Federal University of Rio de Janerio (Brazil), and holds a BSc in Geology from the National University of San Agustin (Peru).
Flor Cavero – Senior Petrophysics
Flor has over 18 years of experience in the oil industry, performing petrophysical characterization in Exploration and Production projects, as well as in real-time, data acquisition, well logging, and evaluation. She has also worked as a teacher and technical support in petrophysics and software.
Flor has worked for Petrobras Perú in the Talara Basin, for Talisman in the Marañón Basin, PEMEX Gulf of México, Petrotrin North West District Onshore, and for Schlumberger in several basins in Perú and Venezuela.
Flor holds a degree in Geological Engineering from the University of San Antonio Abad in Cusco.
Jorge Chia – EHS Manager
Mr Chia has over 20 years of successful EHS experience in all phases of the upstream oil and gas business, with a strong background in environmental, safety and health management of projects. Mr Chia has worked with Occidental, Pluspetrol, Petrominerales, COGA and Geopark..
Jorge holds a B.Sc in Chemistry from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, postgraduate studies in HSE Management and Occupational Risk Management, and specializations in Environmental Certification process, contaminated area management, conflict resolutions and project management.
Edder Garay – Senior Geologist
Edder has more than 7-years of experience in the E&P industry focused on development, geo-models, etc. He has experience in offshore and onshore Talara, Ucayali Basin and in Chamak-Niquita field in the Gulf of Mexico. He worked for Savia Peru and in other companies as a consultant.
Edder holds a BSc in Geologist Engineer at the National University of Engineering (Peru).
Alonso Salas – IT Manager
He has more than 20 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector, starting at OXY as an Intern in 2000 and as an IT Consultant in the drilling operation in Block 64 in Sargento Puño and Situche. He later worked providing IT support for Compañía Operadora de LNG del Peru (Hunt Oil) in the construction and start-up project of the Pampa Melchorita Plant, supporting the Lima office, the plant and the pipeline. He worked in Block 67 with Perenco in charge of providing IT service to the base camp and the Piraña well. He worked as an IT Network Engineer for Hunt Oil, being in charge of the IT area of the Lima office and Block 76 (Wandari project) and reporting to the head office in Dallas.
